Ethereum Tools
Free tools for Ethereum users — Fear & Greed index, network status, Ethereum glossary and scam checker, all in one place.
Crypto Fear & Greed Index
Is the crypto market fearful or greedy? An index from 0 (extreme fear) to 100 (extreme greed) — useful context for ETH decisions too, since Ethereum often moves in the same direction as overall market sentiment.
How to use this index? Warren Buffett said: "Be greedy when others are fearful." Extreme fear (0–24) has historically been a good buying opportunity, while extreme greed (75–100) often signals a market top. The index doesn't guarantee future direction — use it as one signal, not the only one.
Ethereum Network Status
Ethereum transitioned from energy-intensive mining to Proof of Stake in 2022, and continues to evolve through scaling upgrades. Here's an overview of the current status and key milestones.
Ethereum's Development History & Key Milestones
What is The Merge? In September 2022, Ethereum switched its consensus mechanism from energy-intensive Proof of Work mining to Proof of Stake, where validators secure the network by staking ETH instead of burning electricity. This reduced Ethereum's energy consumption by roughly 99.95% and set the stage for future scalability upgrades.

Golden rules for Ethereum users: Never share your seed phrase (12-24 words) — no legitimate support team will ever ask for it. Be especially cautious with "limited time" NFT mints and fake Discord/Telegram links that ask you to "connect wallet" and then drain your funds via malicious approvals. Check that a token's contract is verified on Etherscan before buying, and avoid "too good to be true" airdrops that ask you to send ETH first or sign suspicious transactions.
